Emma and Johnny had the joy of scoring the music for this beautiful film, blending orchestral palettes with pop, folk and jazz. They also created an epic arrangement of Hunters & Collectors’ “Throw Your Arms Around Me”, featuring Pub Choir.

Twenty-three-year-old Sonja (Olivia Hargroder), who lives with Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), must fight for her independence following the tragic loss of her mother. When her distant grandmother Doris (Penny Downie, The Crown) becomes her guardian and attempts to sell the family home, Sonja is forced to stand up for her right to her home, lifestyle, friendships and relationship with her boyfriend Michael (Chris Bunton, Nude Tuesday).

Inspired by her new friend Hakim (Elijah Williams), Sonja finds a powerful outlet through krumping — an energetic dance style that allows her to express her frustration and assert her individuality.

Johnny and Emma also composed the music which features an arrangement of “Throw Your Arms Around Me” in the trailer below.
