Commuters Return (for clarinet quintet)

I wrote this piece during my last year of my bachelor degree at the Sydney Conservatorium. I was spending a lot of time in the city, commuting during peak hour, running late to classes, rushing to finish assignments, etc, and this frantic energy worked it’s way into my music. I had the privilege of having Australian composer Paul Stanhope as my composition tutor, who really pushed me to develop my skills and helped me discover new methods of composing which I utilised in this piece.
